This policy explains what information is collected when you use DMV Exam Test, why, who receives it and the choices you have. It applies to this website only; the official agency websites and manuals we link to have their own policies.

Information we collect
Using the practice tests
You do not need an account to use this site and we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details. The practice tests run in your browser: your answers and scores are not sent to us and are not stored after you leave the page.
Server logs
Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information about each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user agent. We use these logs only to operate the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors. They are deleted automatically after 14 days, unless we need them longer to investigate a specific security incident.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to correct the site when you report an error, and we keep the correspondence for as long as needed for that purpose.
Advertising and cookies
The site is free because it shows advertising served by Google AdSense. Pages with ads load Google's ad code, which may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses and similar identifiers, to deliver ads, measure them, limit how often you see the same ad and prevent fraud.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Google acts as an independent controller of the information it collects through its ad code, under the Google Privacy Policy. Our cookie policy lists the kinds of cookies involved. We do not use analytics or social media trackers, and the fonts and images of the site are served from our own server.
Your choices
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
Before any cookie that is not strictly necessary is used, a consent message from Google, a certified consent management platform under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, asks for your choice. You can accept, reject or choose by purpose and vendor. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the Privacy and cookie settings link at the bottom of any page with ads.
The legal basis for personalized advertising is your consent; for server logs, our legitimate interest in running a secure website. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Information may be processed in the United States, where we and Google are based; Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for those transfers.
Visitors in the United States
Under the privacy laws of California and other states, allowing advertising cookies that personalize ads based on your activity across websites may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. Depending on your state, you have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it;
- access, correct and delete your personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To opt out, use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link at the bottom of any page with ads, which Google shows to visitors in the states whose laws require it. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out and ask Google to show you only non-personalized ads. You can also send any request to contact@letayer.llc; we may need to confirm the request comes from you, and you may use an authorized agent. We answer within the time the law of your state allows.
In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers such as IP addresses and cookie identifiers, internet activity on this site, and, if you wrote to us, your email address. The sources are you and your browser. We disclose them to our hosting provider to run the site and to Google and its ad partners to show advertising.
Children
The site is a study resource for people preparing for a driver license, which in most states starts at age 14 or older. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
The site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We keep personal information only for the periods described above and limit access to it to the people who run the site.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest change at the top.
